Our 37th Anniversary!

37 years ago Linda and I were married in DeKalb, Illinois. This morning we celebrated by going to Ann Arbor and eating a late breakfast/lunch at Afternoon Delight. It is such a cool restaurant with delicious, fresh, homemade food. I've wanted to take Linda there for a long time. I had salad bar with a mocha cappucino shake (mmmm!). Linda had gazpacho soup (she loves it) and a reuben sandwich, which she found excellent and overwhelming in terms of its size and quality.

She gave me a card with a beautiful note listing many of the things I have done for her over the years - it was fun  reading it, and it was in a poetic rhyme form. I gave her a card thanking God for her, and our life-companionship. We're going to do a 4-day anniversary getaway in a week by going to one of our most favorite places on the earth - Warren Dunes State Park in southwest Michigan. Beautiful sand, large dunes, and Lake Michigan. We'll sun, sit, listen to music, talk, read, and eat various summer delicacies. We've spent a lot of time at this park, and can't wait to be there together!
