Philosophy of Religion Exams Thursday, Dec. 12

For my MCCC Philosophy of Religion Students:

Our final round of 1-on-1 oral exams will be this coming Thursday, Dec. 12.

Room A173

The questions are:

1. Explain Nietzsche's "The Parable of the Madman" (i.e., the logic of atheism as the loss of a metaphysical foundation for morality and the struggle with nihilism).

2. Explain Bertrand Russell's "A Free Man's Worship" (i.e., the logic of atheism via Russell's 4 pillars of atheism, and his non-Nietzschean choice in the face of unyielding Nature).

3. William Lane Craig's Metaethical Argument for the Existence of God.
