92 Redeemer adults are joining me in Deeper Bible Study.
This is something I am doing with my church family. I'm involving them in how I study and prepare to preach on the biblical text for the coming Sunday. On Sunday, Dec. 22,l this text is Hebrews 6:13-18.
I'm not interpreting the text for them. I am guiding them in ways to engage with the text themselves, so as to understand.
I just sent out the first set of directions for this week.
I am so excited about this! I think the signs of a healthy church family include:
- growing in biblical literacy (BibleLife)
- growing in Jesus-literacy (JesusLife)
- gaining a PrayerLife (a life of actually engaging in praying)
