Why I'm Not a Calvinist: Seven Minute Seminary (Ben Witherington)

I have never been a Calvinist.

I have studied Calvin (in some of my doctoral work).

While surely there are parts of Calvin's writings (e.g., I hav e a volume of his sermons) and places in his massive Institutes that are illuminative, I have never been drawn to Calvinist theology. I suspect that a person unfamiliar with the Scriptures and John Calvin would never, upon reading the former, come up with something like the latter.

Here Ben Witherington gives a nice summary of why he is not a Calvinist.
