MLK's Idea of Prayer

One of my prayer places (Lake Erie, Monroe, MI)

Prayer, for Martin Luther King, Jr., was:
  • a gift from God
  • something that had infinite dimensions for exploration
  • a spiritual quality that must be consistently cultivated
  • facilitating an intimate relationship with God
  • being-led into the presence of God
  • Sacred time
  • Self-purification time
  • responding in a spirit of humility to the activity of God's grace in daily life
