Why 5 Days of Prayer and Not 7?

In my seminary classes, for the last 30+ years, I've assigned my pastor-students to pray 1 hour/day, 5 days/week. Why not 7 days?

The simple answer is that I felt God tell me - "Do it this way.' Upon reflection, I've seen its rationale. The goal God has given me is to bring people into a deeper prayer life. The 5 day thing (rather than assign it every day) seems to be more inviting and less pressuring. I have seen that, if people commit themselves to 5 days, it can extend into every day as a relationship (not a religious duty).
