Jonathan Haidt's book The Coddling of the American Mind was so good I read it twice. And refer to it often.
Haidt's recent book, The Anxious Generation: How the Great Rewiring of Childhood Is Causing an Epidemic of Mental Illness, came out in March 2024. Haidt makes a powerful case that the shift from play-based to phone-based childhoods is wreaking havoc on mental health and social development.
